Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Superintendent, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for providing support to the Mobile Maintenance team by being accountable for directing the workforce in daily electrical maintenance activities for all mining and mobile equipment, while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory procedures. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Oversee and provide expertise for all electrical activities related to mining and mobile equipment maintenance; Lead and coach team members in the achievement of maintenance safety and productivity targets; Develop and implement standards and procedures that meet all statutory and regulatory requirements; Assist in the preparation of maintenance operating cost forecasts, budgets, and monthly maintenance reports; Schedule and plan electrical maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and reduce downtime. *

Oversee and provide expertise for all electrical activities related to mining and mobile equipment maintenance; Lead and coach team members in the achievement of maintenance safety and productivity targets; Develop and implement standards and procedures that meet all statutory and regulatory requirements; Assist in the preparation of maintenance operating cost forecasts, budgets, and monthly maintenance reports; Schedule and plan electrical maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability and reduce downtime. * Ontario provincial or inter-provincial (Red Seal) trade certificate; 10 years of experience in maintenance capacity; 5 years of supervisory experience with proven interpersonal and management skills to lead and inspire a team; Sound interpersonal and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team of employees; Experience working in SAP, JDE or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a strong asset; Experience in low and high voltage distribution as well as troubleshooting/programming PLC’s will also be considered as an asset; Hands on experience with open pit mining equipment, including electrical shovels (Cat 7495’s and a 4100 Komatsu) along with a fleet of Epiroc Pit Viper drill; 25KV experience along with Adria substations is not a requirement but would be advantageous; Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Schedule\: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
