We are now seeking an experienced Mine Services Technician to join our wider Dewatering Maintenance Mine Services team at the Tropicana Gold Mine.
Reporting into the Dewatering & Services Supervisor, the purpose of this role is to provide support to the multidisciplinary Dewatering and Services team to ensure reliable, efficient and sustainable operations.

The position will be offered on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:
 

Daily installation/removal of in-pit sump pumps as required for site operations Pipe welding, dewatering/pump infrastructure installation and relocation. Minor maintenance to fabricate, repair and relocate new and old Polyethylene pipe of various sizes using Butt Welding and Electrofusion techniques Monitor and maintain the dewatering systems including but not limited to; Dams, Standpipes, Tanks & in-pit pumping stations. Daily inspections, record keeping and maintenance. Organisation of consumables. Inspection, escort, and monitoring of mining operations contractors. Liaise with various stakeholders to optimise water flows. Operation of ancillary equipment within the mining area Data entry.

About You

Trade qualified in a related field (Fitter, Boilermaker, Plumber) or will consider other Be a self-starter and have a dedicated commitment to safety, quality and teamwork. Excellent problem solving, people and communication skills. Previous experience with mining dewatering & pumping equipment is preferred HDPE Welding (Butt Welding & Extrusion Welding). Knowledge of SAP systems desirable. Basic computer & software skills. C Class Driver’s Licence with a HR license being highly advantageous National Police Clearance Permanent work rights in Australia
