The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Virginia (UVA) School of Medicine seeks applications for a tenure-ineligible clinical faculty position as a MIGS surgeon. The position will joing a surgical team comprised of a 1 MIGS surgeon, 6 Gynecology Oncology surgeons, 4 Urogynecologists, and 10 ASGOG surgeons performing a range of benign gynecological surgery.
Clinical duties will include an office-based practice, as well as performing gynecologic surgery and participating in benign gynecology call. On a rotating basis the faculty member may conduct outreach clinics and surgical services in UVA facilities/partner systems within 30 - 50 miles of the UVA campus. In addition, the faculty member will participate in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO and be board-certified or board eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and MIGS. The successful candidate must have excellent clinical skills and enthusiasm for Medical Education; an interest in clinical research is desirable and academic experience is preferred.
