Here you’ll find challenges that excite you and development opportunities to build a lifelong career. **The Role:** As the Mining Commercial Manager for Australia, New Zealand and Pacific (ANZP) you will lead our talented commercial team in supporting dealers to secure machine sales opportunities within the region. This role is based within our Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology (RISST) Division and focuses on surface and underground mining products. This role reports to the Mining Region Manager and works closely with Caterpillar product groups, dealers, and customers to demonstrate Caterpillar value and execute the commercial strategy within region. **Job duties include but are not limited to:** + Lead a highly skilled team to achieve business objectives. + Understand the mining market in region and develop sales strategies to meet dealer and customer needs. + Develop and manage pricing strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals. + Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure customer focused solutions are delivered. **Essential Skills & Experience:** + Demonstrated leadership experience, including experience leading staff remotely. + Exceptional commercial skills, ideally with high value, complex businesses. + Thorough understanding of company products, product applications, equipment management practices, warranty practices and procedures. + Broad company knowledge and a strong understanding of dealer operations. + **Customer focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. + **Industry knowledge:** Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking** : Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours. + **Negotiating** : Ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with dealers in a constructive and collaborative manner. + Relationship Management: Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with internal stakeholders and dealers. + **Value Selling** : Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs. + Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally and up to 50% **What’s in it for you?** Competitive remuneration package, including an attractive Bonus and Share options.
