Job Description

AECOM’s Mining Team Canada is growing! We are seeking a Mining & Industrial Growth Leader that will plan, promote, and implement the Canada Region practice vision. Reporting into the Water Business Line, the successful candidate will be responsible for the business development of the Mining and Industrial practice within Canada focusing on mine infrastructure, materials handling, mine waste management, water dams, levees, water management and treatment, and associated infrastructure.   They will serve our existing clients, develop new clients, and collaborate with our Global and Regional Practice Leaders to implement regional initiatives.  This role can be based out of any of our Canadian offices.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

Helps develop and executes the strategic initiative to grow the Mining and Industrial Practice in CanadaDevelops effective relationships with key clients and successfully wins work to grow the PracticeEffectively communicates client needs to the Practice and to project teamsProvide direction to and mentoring to other staff in executing the vision of the PracticeHelp produce and update related marketing materials, communiques and social media presenceLeads and prepares proposals and responses to customer inquiriesWorks with business line and regional leaders to ensure compliance with internal proposal and project approval requirementsWork with clients to provide long-term solutions

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

12+ years of progressive experience in the mining sector or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadershipat least 5+ years of experience in client service including winning new work with new customers and achieving growth with existing customersDemonstrated experience in pursuing and winning opportunities in Canada with a strong reputation in the Canadian mining market.Holds a passport and able to travel within Canada and the United States of America.Must possess a valid driver’s license

 

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering discipline20+ years of progressive experience in the mining field with an emphasis on materials handling, mine waste management, mining infrastructure and project execution in CanadaExperience with clients in both open pit and underground mining sectors is an advantageHighly collaborative, with the ability to build productive working relationships within AECOM and our customersAbility to attract key staff within the Canadian Mining MarketDemonstrated experience in developing new business growth strategies
