Mining Junior Inventory Systems Analyst, In-Office Position

Join Our Mining team as a Junior Inventory Systems Analyst!

 

Are you passionate about data-driven processes and creating insights that empower smarter decision-making? We're looking for a Junior Inventory Systems Analyst to join our team! In this role, you'll monitor inventory KPIs, analyze current and future inventory trends, and support the parts department with valuable tools and resources. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining our Manufacturing Resource Planning System and collaborate with the Senior Inventory Analyst to resolve inventory challenges and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Monitor and manage inventory levels, stock turnover, product movements, and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Analyze large data sets, identify trends, and prepare actionable reports to address business challenges. Notify the Senior Inventory Analyst about potential problems impacting product or service quality. Develop tools and strategies for improving inventory allocation, distribution, and removing unused stock. Collaborate with teams on inventory improvement projects using digital tools and technologies. Collect and organize data to evaluate and enhance business performance. Manage the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) program to optimize inventory planning. Perform other duties as assigned. Competencies A degree in mathematics, statistics, operations management, computer science, or management information systems (MIS) is preferred. Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, C, or Java. Familiarity with MatLab is an asset. Excel and SQL proficiency is an asset but not required. Strong ability to analyze data, focus on solutions, and drive actionable outcomes. Able to effectively communicate insights and findings to team members and management. Comfortable working in team settings and contributing to shared goals. Highly organized, with strong attention to accuracy and clarity of work. Demonstrates a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving. Comfortable challenging conventional methods and proposing innovative solutions.
