As the Software and Performance IPT lead, you will lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers consisting of Software, Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing and Modeling and Simulation engineers to develop and test operational flight software for UAS and missile applications. You will be responsible for developing the overall Software and Performance capability release roadmap and ensure the technical execution to the overall program milestones and schedules. This role is a program technical leadership position responsible and reports directly to the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Lead a Integrated Product Team comprising of Software, Guidance, Navigation, Control, and Simulation engineers to develop, model, test, and validate vehicle flight softwareProvide deep technical understanding of software and system design and integrationOwns the software and GNC performance of the vehicle software  for command and control mission systems or autonomous systemsContribute to software engineering proposals where you will perform task definition and estimating work to accomplish those tasks

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience4 years of experience managing a teamHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceDemonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExcellent verbal and written communications with internal and/or external customers and team members leadership and customer representatives Experience leading multi-disciplinary teamsAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience developing real-time Operational Flight ProgramsExperience developing signal processing / GNC algorithms or models for missile applicationsExperience designing and performing analysis of high fidelity performance simulations

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $165,010.21 - $226,889.04. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
