The Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Mission Assurance Lead (Principal Specialist, Mission/Quality Assurance – P3) will assist several programs within the Product Support (PS) business unit, and work as a full-time onsite employee at either our El Paso, Texas (preferred) or our Fullerton, California locations.  Responsibilities include promoting and executing with a meaningful, deep quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. This individual will assist in implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts. 

This role will work to ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements, and interface with the Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Supplier Quality in supporting program requirements. The LADS PS programs include contracts in the production, deployment, and sustainment phases.

This is an onsite role in either El Paso, Texas (preferred) or Fullerton, California

What You Will Do:

You will interface with both, internal and external stakeholders, conducting technical quality performance, while ensuring procedural compliance which meets our contractual requirements.You will interact with internal and external customers, establishing a solid professional relationship and reliable communications.You will complete program planning activities, while creating an Integrated Program Tailoring Workbook.You will create and maintain Contract Quality Requirements, while documenting quality requirements on proposals, programs, and contract modifications.You will plan and conduct process audits, ensuring program compliance which meets or exceed contract and company requirements.You will be the key Mission Assurance and Quality team member charged with resolution of customer concerns, while building a solid professional relationshipYou will be responsible for quality of delivered products, and services, to internal and external customers/stakeholdersYou will ensure inclusion of quality requirements in planning and proposals.You will improve processes, or systems, using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.20% travel may be required.

Qualification You Must Have:

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) or more years of experience in Quality, Engineering, or a related technical field, with specific experience in the following areas;Working experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems.Working experience conducting audits, monitoring/leading Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA).Working experience performing analyses of non-conformances to characterize causes and develop containment/corrective actions.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Working experience with Engineering Labs, Operations Workflow, Planning Work Orders, Quality Control History Record (QCHR), or Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR).Working experience using PRISM to look up Part Numbers, view Purchase Orders, verify Q-notes, generate Quality Notifications (QN).Working experience using cPDM to view and analyze drawing requirements.Working experience conducting First Article Inspection (FAI), Verification and Validation, and product sell-off and delivery activities.Experience working with contract requirements and compliance.Experience with procurement process and supplier requirement flow down, supplier engagement discussions of Q-notes and Drawing requirements, supplier non-conformances, Rework/Repair disposition, Return-to-Vendor process.Experience using Corrective Action Systems, NetInspect, DigIT, DISCUS, and other quality/logistic resources.Experience conducting Failure Rejection Analysis & Corrective Action System (FRACAS) activities for systemic issues and part failures.Working experience in Depot activities and inventory audits.Experience involving proposal activities and preparing Basis of Estimates (BOEs).Experience working with stakeholders across all levels of an organizationExperience presenting orally to diverse stakeholders and creating written reports and presentations

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
