Job Description
HII is hiring a Military Information Warfare (IW) Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) Senior Mission Coordinator for the NITE Program. They will Support Unit Level and Large Force Training Exercises through the World-Wide FURY range system. Acts as a point of contact for Government operations personnel on all IW range functions supporting unit and LFE. Coordinates all mission support from mission scenario development to live/virtual/constructive operational support to post-mission debrief and evaluation. Supports planning and coordination for agencies participating in or supporting training operations on the range complex. Attends pre-mission conferences for users and support groups.
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. May be required to travel to support other Training Range locations worldwide. May be required to support afloat IW operations, requiring periodic at-sea embarkations on Training Support Vessels (TSVs). Routine travel to remote site facilities may be involved.
Additionally, the position requires flexibility to work occasional non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. #LI-MA2
1. Ashore Operations:
• Assist the IW Mission Commander and Senior Mission Coordinator with daily LVC training operations. Plan, coordinate, brief, execute, conduct analysis, and develop debrief reports for IW-CRY training missions in support of customer requirements. Provide assessments to Fleet stakeholders of unit and group performance during IW-CRY training events.
• Support the FURY IW-CRY Global LVC Operations Center (GLOC) and stand watch as a FURY IW-CRY Mission Coordinator.
• Participate in exercise planning meetings to provide recommendations for potential scenarios and tactics to maximize IW-CRY training.
• Coordinate with other commands as directed by leadership for development of IW-CRY missions.
• Shift work may be required to meet the needs of a worldwide customer base and ensure mission readiness is always maintained. Schedules are based on mission schedule and Fleet requirements.
2. Afloat Operations:
• Support afloat IW-CRY LVC operations onboard Training Support Vessels (TSVs) as an IW-CRY Mission Coordinator.
• Collaborate with afloat leadership, NSWC Corona, and the VROC to manage and execute the afloat IW-CRY LVC mission.
• Plan, coordinate, brief, execute, conduct analysis, and develop reports for leadership ISO afloat IW-CRY training missions.
• Manage and supervise other NSWC Corona LVC operators afloat to accomplish the IW-CRY mission tasking.
Top Secret clearance required. Eligible for TS/SCI
Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience Demonstrated experience and understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) operations, to include HF/VHF/UHF Electronic Support (ES), Electronic Attack (EA) operations, RF systems and waveform propagation fundamentals. Detailed knowledge and experience working with air, surface, and/or sub-surface EW/CW/IW/IO systems and operations. Knowledge and experience working with the FURY IW EW/CW/IW/IO Range training system. Knowledge and experience working with HF ALE with remote radio operations and applications. Knowledge and experience working with Information Warfare Commander (IWC), Cryptologic Resource Coordinator (CRC), Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO), and Signals Warfare Officer (SIGWO) to coordinate training opportunities. Knowledge and experience with the Optimized Fleet Response Plan (OFRP) process and training requirements. Advanced degree in technical discipline desired. Additional experience with Navy airborne EW and CW systems (i.e. EA-18G, EA-6B, EP-3E) desired.
