Mission Planner - Orbital Analysis Instructor (Sr Principal Systems Engineer)
Northrup Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division – Integrated Operations Directorate is looking for an experienced Mission Planner – Orbital Analysis Instructor to join the Training Department team to develop and deliver operations training curriculum to government customers. As an instructor, the selected candidate will be required to design, develop, and deliver training material to support automated scenarios, mission exercises and certification check rides for the customer and internal operations personnel. Other responsibilities include working with the Systems Engineering Lead to identify training needs and develop training plans and curriculum such as lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, mission scenarios, and evaluation tools. The Mission Planner – Orbital Analysis Instructor will also work with mission operations personnel to ensure training curriculum and scenarios accurately represent current operational documentation used during on-orbit checkout, satellite commissioning, and execution of the primary mission(s). This position may also support system development activities such as requirements management, architecture development, integration and test, and formal program milestones. This position requires extensive experience planning Rendezvous and Proximity Operations and will be responsible for creating and delivering orbit analysis and mission planning training to internal and external trainees. They may also be required to interface with program and customer personnel regularly.
Product deliveries include: Lesson Plans, PowerPoint Presentations, Training Videos, Mission Scenarios, Tests/Quizzes, Student Guides, Training Plans, and other training material as necessary to support contractual training requirements.
