Job Title: Mixer – Bread Line 1
Shift: NO (8:55pm-5am)

Job Description:
The mixer will mix the required number of batches of dough per shift. He/She will be required to use the computer system to draw ingredients into the mixer through an automated scaling system. The mixer will also dump pre-scaled ingredients into the mixing bowl and then monitor the blending and temperatures of each batch. He/She will clean the mixer and any related equipment between different varieties. The Mixer will perform all allergen clean ups and quality checks in accordance with standard procedures. He/She will neatly and accurately fill out all necessary paperwork and turn it into the proper place. Responsible for area housekeeping and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Functions:
1) Review pertinent information with the previous shift i.e. mechanical issues etc.
2) Obtain undated production schedules from the Control Room Operator.
3) Compare the scaled ingredients with paperwork from scaler.
4) Perform Pre-Operational Checks and Scale Calibration Checks.
5) Follow formulas according to the batch files
6) Through a computerized work station, activate system to automatically draw major ingredients into the mixer
7) Load pre-scaled hand add ingredients into the mixer
8) Operate mixer to meet mix times and temperatures in accordance with preset standards
9) Perform all regular and allergen clean/outs and document as required.
10) Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. HACCP – CTS)
11) Maintain a safe, neat and clean work area accordance with GMP and good housekeeping practices.
12) Maintain Good Communication with co-workers and supervisors.
13) Follow all JSA guidelines
14) May have to train on a different shift for the position.

Work Conditions:
1) 8-12 Hour shift. Will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one half hour break. Overtime is required.
2) Environment – Noise levels will be minimal to moderate and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient. There is a possibility of slippery footing from wet and dry ingredients. Main work area is an elevated platform.
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
