Heidelberg Materials is seeking a responsible, safe, and dependable Batch Plant Operator to join our local team. In this position you are responsible for operating and troubleshooting a ready-mix batch plant, including managing the mixing and loading of concrete mixes according to order specifications for customer delivery.

What You'll Get To DoBatch concrete using computerized equipment that produces accurately calibrated and consistent mix qualityExamine materials, ingredients, or products visually or by hand to ensure conformance to established standardsReport any deviations from the norm that might impact production, quality or processing efficienciesCheck inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials and notifies appropriate suppliers of production needs.Communicate with Dispatch and Transportation departments regarding material delivery Responsible for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to keep accurate inventory.Responsible for compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.Responsible for daily inspection of facilities and will complete maintenance checklist.Will operate a front end loader when needed
What We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED requiredKnowledge of Command batch system is an assetWorking knowledge of concrete and admixturesMust be able to effectively communicate and safely follow directionsMust have ability to operate Loader and other yard equipment as neededDesire to work cooperatively as part of a productive teamAbility to work safely, and independently without constant supervisionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditionsIn good physical condition, able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs., sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrainAbility to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
