Job Summary:

Job Duties:

Lead Safety performance of the Maint team, modeling safety behaviors, PPE requirements, workplace org and mentoring/training TM on safety conceptsCommunicate Safety near misses, safety compliance issues (PPE) to Supervisor on a ongoing basis.Develop Standardized work for maintenance activities, with a focus on Job plans develop for infrequent at risk jobs (Safety and Quality).Lead Start of Shift Team Meetings / next shift hand-offs (expected 15 min overlap)Manage Maint crew manups through shift including breaks, lunch, standardized work and staffing required /escalate gaps to supervision as required Develop / revise standard work (SOP's) for Maintenance team members.  Train all existing and new trades as required.Train team members and develop and maintain Flex training charts for key training initiatives. Using the Flex training charts, develop a versatility plan for trades team through a detailed training plan both internal SME's and outside vendor training.Support implementation of improvement projects and Team Member and team ideas (may require OT as needed)Ensure Problem solving is used effectively in Maintenance and Maintenance supports production team problem solving activities.Perform layered audits, monitor completion of non-conformances (Gemba walks) and escalate when necessary.Plan TPM (Preventative Maintenance) thru planned downtime and weekend activities (may require OT as needed)Actively assist in performing maintenance tasks as assigned to the team and / or during high calls or backlog times.Fill in for missing maintenance team members as required.Work with Production Team Leaders to schedule maintenance activities during all available opportunities (PM checks, Engineering workorders etc).Track and ensure completion of all maintenance activites, track all required maintenance metrics once developed such as MTTR (mean time to repair), MTTF (mean time to failure) and first time good repairs.Know Maintenance quality standards required for team.Ensure materials and job plans for upcoming maintenance work (weekend, shutdowns, projects etc) are available and kitted to ensure timely completion of tasks.  All planned work should have a startup plan to ensure proper production quality and throughput from part 1.Raise concerns/escalate issues as required using escalation process to Supervisor or other Solenis leadership.Perform 6S tasks and lead continuous improvement of workplace organization.Follow standard daily routine, support the organization to achieve team and business goals on a daily basisMaintain regular communication with the team, cross-shifts, and supervisors.  T/L to create and issue a end of shift maintenance report.Working Conditions/Special FactorsChemical Plant EnvironmentWorking alone and with othersHigh levels of stress and pressureRequirement of minimum 2 Saturday shifts per month and/or minimum 50 hrs per weekThe nature of work may involve work outside of standard shifts and/or weekendsThis assignment will require shift handoffs both before and after shift that will require overtime on a daily basisMay be required to attend training courses, conferences, seminars or other meetings as required by own training needs or needs of the jobMay require travel to other locations
