ML Engineer at Vodafone Turkey

• We are looking for a ML Engineer with experience in designing, building, and managing ML applications using large amounts of data in a Hadoop/ Spark ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying ML models and systems that solve complex analytic problems in local Big Data Analytic Platforms (Cloudera & Opensource tools).
• As an ML Engineer, you will work closely with the DataScience, DataEngineer team, and other stakeholders to build and deliver ML- based solutions to drive the company strategy.
• ML Engineer should have a strong technical background in machine learning and programming skills

Key Accountabilities
• You’ll be designing and producing high-performing and stable ML applications using petabyte-scale data in a Big Data environment.
• Collect, preprocess, and analyze data to ensure its quality and suitability for ML tasks.
• Support data science teams to integrate ML models with channel applications like campaign management systems, mobile applications and analytic platforms by modifying and developing ML Pipelines.
• Performance tunning and fine-tuning of ML models that address specific business challenges.
• Evaluate and validate model performance using appropriate metrics, and statistical methods using MLOps discipline.
• Monitor and maintain deployed models ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
• Sourcing, ingesting, wrangling and validating data sets, building pipelines to transform data and produce analytical records for machine learning
• Researching closely advancements in ML algorithms, ML tools and technologies.
• Documenting HLD, LLD, and solution documents of ML apps.

Who you are

• BS degree or higher in a technology-related field (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or another quantitative field)

• Proven experience as an ML Engineer minimum 2 years experience in designing, building, and managing ML applications using petabyte scaled data.

• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and SicitLearn as well as GenAI technologies like LLM foundational models, generative adversarial networks, variational autoencoders, and reinforcement learning.

• Strong software development experience in Python, Java or Scala programming languages (other programming languages desirable);

• Experience with deep learning, LLM, or NLP techniques

• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Solr/Elastic Search, Nifi is a plus

• Experience in designing, building and managing applications to process large amounts of data in a Hadoop ecosystem

• Experience in data processing, feature engineering, and data visualization.

• Experience with MLOps and DataOps frameworks.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work fast-paced environment and deliver results within deadlines with agile methodologies.

• Private and Public Cloud experience is nice to have.
