About the Role:

We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance our ML Platform Engineering initiatives. In this role, you'll architect and build globally distributed, fault-tolerant systems that scale across our enterprise. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions that strengthen our cybersecurity capabilities.


Prior cybersecurity experience is not required. We provide comprehensive security domain training and mentorship.


What You'll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation processes

Collaborate with data scientists to integrate CI/CD into development workflows

Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and improvement

Enforce and implement security measures across repositories

Innovate with the state of the art machine learning technology to accelerate data science.

Focus on scalability, and cost effectiveness.

Set up alerts and dashboards to proactively address performance and reliability issues

Implementing monitoring and providing in-depth analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities or gaps

Employ established CrowdStrike tools and services to build solutions for detecting and countering targeted cyber assaults.

Collaborate across various teams to brainstorm, define, and devise solutions.

Commit to ongoing learning and self-improvement.

Stay attuned to our customers' challenges, always seeking ways to enhance support.

Emphasize top-tier coding quality by adhering to best practices, rigorous testing, and thorough logging and metrics.

Work within a collaborative and agile team environment.

Contribute to mentoring fellow engineers across a spectrum of technologies and also absorb knowledge from them.

Constantly explore ways to refine product architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and reliability.

What You'll Need:

Any STEM undergraduate degree

Prior work experience with big data and microservices

Understanding scalability and distributed systems e.g. sharding, partitioning, and concurrency

A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture.

The ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.

The skills to meet your commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

Tech Stack (not mandatory to know everything; a robust learning capacity is essential):

ML Model deployment, e.g. MLFlow, Kubeflow, Triton, Databricks

Distributed systems, e.g. Kafka, Cassandra, or Spark

High level coding language, e.g. JVM technologies or Python

Cluster management, e.g. Slurm, Ray, Spark, EMR, ZooKeeper

Infra as code, e.g. Terraform, Chef, or Ansible

Containers, e.g. Docker, Kubernetes

Search, e.g. ElasticSearch


Bonus Points:

Existing exposure to AWS and distributed systems

Experience with Language Models, Data Science, and Data Engineering

Prior experience in the cybersecurity or intelligence fields

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $215,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
