MLTC Referral and Enrollment Specialist
Description and Requirements The Marketing Specialist contributes ideas for identifying new referral sources, as well as identify referral sources within their territory of responsibility whose mission and needs are focused on the frail adult and their Managed Long-term Care (MLTCP) / Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP) needs. The Marketing Specialist II market and develop referral relationships with the goal of keeping the Company and their Partners highly visible as an option for long-term care delivery. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and covers a territory throughout NYC and surrounding counties (the five boroughs, Westchester and Nassau) as needed. Occasional overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Manage a broad base of agencies, services, and professionals as referral sources. Responsible for scouting new providers and referral sources, while meeting departmental guidelines. Must meet monthly referral goal per department guidelines. This includes:

Obtaining weekly designated Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSA), Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA), Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities (NORC) and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) referrals.Reviewing and tracking potential referral sources (such as Social Workers or Clinics).Following-up with internal staff for potential referrals and/or sourcesAssisting with the research and identification of organizations in assigned geographic area that provide health and social services to the frail adult populationCoordinating presentations independently and without prompting for internal and external management.Using Excel and other internal applications to track and report on referral sources as needed.Discerning cultural differences and needs of assigned communities.

Territory Management

Manages multiple providers within geographic area, for constant interaction with all.Participates in and creates various community related activities such as health fairs/screenings and informational seminars on long term care.Maintains a network log of all providers to track dates visited and referrals generated from each.Meets minimum expectations of required provider visits based on departmental guidelines.Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of all product lines to educate providers and consumers and pass recurrent examinations per compliance and regulatory requirements.Follows up on all leads via excel and intranet-based programs.Works with internal departments to verify and report back to providers on status of all leads.Communicates all updates to managers and providers.Creates and updates PowerPoint presentations as needed that provide corporate overview and attract potential new providers/clients.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED EquivalentKnowledge of Medicaid/Medicare or Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) product lines.An understanding of the values of Integrated Care.Existing field sales background and experience working with minimal supervision.

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $57,408 - $76,960

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $49,795 - $72,800

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
