As the primary Office for Missing and Murdered Black Women and Girls collection and reporting expert, the position of MMBWG Research and Evaluation Coordinator under administrative direction is responsible for creating, building, and coordinating data reporting structures and strategies that enable management to address and interrupt the prevalence of missing and murdered Black women and girls. Design collection systems/forms that support reporting on measurable outcomes achieved, along with specific objectives and outcome measures for the following year. Coordinate with other organizations that are responsible for the systems that play a role in investigating, prosecuting and adjudicating cases involving violence committed against Black women and girls. This can be done through the implementation of recommendations by task forces, advisory groups, research, case analysis, evaluation of programs, review of state policies and practices, and other inputs identified by the Director; and perform other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Three* (3) years of experience demonstrating expertise in designing data-related projects in the areas of statistics, data science, public policy and advocacy, criminal justice, law enforcement, social work/human services, and/or victim services.
+ Experience collecting and analyzing data sets, forecasting trends, or providing risk analysis.
+ Experience developing educational material and programs for community awareness and conducting trainings.
+ Experience using statistical computing software such as SAS, SPSS, STATA or R, and data visualization software such as Tableau.
+ Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities
Applicants that meet the above qualifications will be further evaluated on:
+ Experience communicating program evaluation and research findings to a variety of audiences.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills that include the ability to write and present reports, and to synthesize complex research results.
+ Knowledge of research methodologies in the social sciences and demonstrated ability to conduct basic to advanced statistical analysis.
+ Experience in managing multiple tasks, with attention to detail, organization, and meeting deadlines; ability to identify problems and develop creative solutions.
+ Ability to conceive, organize and carry out research projects independently
_*Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Public Policy, Criminology/Criminal justice, Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related field may substitute for one (1) year of work experience._
_*Master’s Degree in Statistics, Public Policy, Criminology/Criminal justice, Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related field may substitute for two (2) years of work experience._
_*PhD in Statistics, Public Policy, Criminology/Criminal justice, Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related field may substitute for three (3) years of work experience._
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ability to apply a culturally competent perspective and approach to evaluation and research practice.
+ Knowledge of root causes that led to the disparities of violence experienced by Black women and girls.
+ Knowledge of racial disparities, intimate-partner violence, homicide, and human-trafficking prevention.
+ Professional work experience with crime victim issues.
+ Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally-resonate evaluation practices.
+ Demonstrated experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
**Physical Requirements**
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
