Full TimeJob Summary: Responsible for strategic and tactical day to day management, maintenance and monitoring of the supply chain Material Management Information System (MMIS). The Analyst will focus on business benefits, fostering the goal of data re-use and articulate the strategic significance of consistent, accurate and reliable information to leadership. Coordinates product and service analysis in conjunction with material management processes. This individual will be responsible for monitoring adherence to governance policies, procedures and processes, establishing consistent understanding of data definitions, and monitoring/auditing the overall data quality within the Health System.. Performs data analysis and mining. Communicates and develops reports related to day to day functions.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: Minimum three years related experience in business, IT or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong data management and analytical skills with ability to structure and perform data mining and translate into information. Advanced understanding of Windows O/S, Office to include Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point. Experience utilizing our current supply chain management system or other ERP system preferred. Experience understanding data being managed, and its implications to other systems, processes, and applications. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Proven ability to be self-motivated and work in an ambiguous environment. Ability to communicate, influence and build strong relationships with diverse people at various levels by building trust and credibility using the right level of detail and cultural sensitivity. Active listening skills to understand business needs and steer business team to take decisions that have enterprise-wide impact.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manages the MMIS data bases including but not limited to: performs maintenance (add, changes, inactivates) of items, vendors and contracts in accordance with Saint Francis Data Governance Standards; data analysis and data mining to develop various reports; audits data quality for assigned data elements, consistency, and accuracy; ensures all legacy-to-future ERP value Crosswalks are maintained. Identifies and reports data quality issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a timely fashion. Collaborates with Information Technology team to manage and resolve identified data quality issues. Maintain/update EDI connectivity to achieve greater than 90% target activity enhancing productivity and accuracy of purchasing pricing and availability. Validates vendor requests; performs research and vets requests cross functionally within Health system. Communicates and collaborates with local Charge Description Master (CDM) teams and clinical department leaders to ensure accuracy of acquisitions; with local staff to resolve all AP Vendor accounts payable issues; vendors detailing the Procure to Pay process; with Health System stakeholders to reiterate the Master Data Management processes, practices and expectations. Provides analytics related to contract management including not limited to: off-contract spend, item usage and compliance. Support accurate supply expense reporting through item management including contract linkage, unit of measure and item accounting validation. Conducts training sessions and participates in Materials Management and Implementation meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions.
Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from management.
Working Relationships: Works with internal/external customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at director level or above.
