As a Mobile Crisis Specialist, you will be on-call, mobile, and work as part of a team to offer face-to-face crisis assessments or telephone interventions. You'll be at the frontline of crisis response, ensuring individuals receive timely and appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities:
Receive calls from the ACI Crisis Line or Crisis Services Leadership to conduct telephone or face-to-face assessments.
Collaborate with Crisis Team members and access community resources when needed.
Assess risk and coordinate services for individuals in crisis, including facilitating hospitalization or connecting them to other resources.
Create safety plans for individuals as necessary.
Work with law enforcement and emergency medical personnel to support individuals and their families.
Maintain communication with internal and external partners to provide access or referrals to services.
Recognize signs and symptoms of mental illness in children and adults to effectively serve individuals in crisis.
Navigate legal issues regarding custody and guardianship to provide care in the least restrictive environment.
Understand the involuntary commitment process.
Ensure proper documentation to comply with DMH, BBH, and other entity requirements.
Adhere to agency policies and procedures, including emergency and corporate compliance policies.
Participate in scheduled conference calls, webinars, meetings, trainings, and supervision.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field.
CPR/First Aid and CPI certified.
Must demonstrate competency in crisis intervention, safety, legal issues, and collaboration with law enforcement before removal from probationary status.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in assessing, triaging, and treating suicidality.
Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.
Effective oral and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and establish effective relationships via telephone and face-to-face interactions.
Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Initiative in taking necessary actions.
Proficiency in time management and electronic medical records.
Ability to follow directions and accept supervision.
