Job Title: Mobile Engineer 1

Job Description

This is a traveling position within a 2-hour radius. A company vehicle and tools will be provided. Training is minimal, but you will work with an onboarding individual for ramp-up during the first week. The Mobile Engineer will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple facilities, demonstrating technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations, and being multi-skilled in others.

ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire Life Safety, and Control systems to keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards.Travel between multiple facilities ensuring their proper function.Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.Maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to ensure optimal performance levels.Record readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment.Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas, and recognizing and proposing methods to eliminate safety hazards.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems, 3 Year - Journeyman HVAC TechnicianAbility to analyze the operation of various Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems to determine and correct any problems/malfunctionsEPA 608 Type II CertificationWorking knowledge of computer applications including Word and ExcelValid driver's licenseAdditional Skills & QualificationsEPA 608 Universal CertificationTwo years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVACWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This role involves traveling within a 2-hour radius between multiple facilities. You will be provided with a company vehicle and tools. The work environment includes maintaining and repairing various facility systems, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and maintaining good housekeeping standards. The dress code is appropriate for maintenance and technical tasks. The starting wage will be anywhere from $32/hr - $35/hr.
