MOBILE EQUIPMENT SERVICER
Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Auto Hobby Shop, Beale AFB, CA. This position is a Regular Part-Time guaranteed 20 hours per week but can work 20-40 hours per week. Receives benefits. Frequent bending, reaching, and working in awkward positions when performing work in lube pits or from car racks. Occasional heavy lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities Drains and changes lubricants in crank cases, differentials and transmissions, lubricates vehicles and replaces oil and filters. Replaces accessories such as rear view mirrors, rotates, replaces and/or repairs tube and tubeless tires with plugger or hot or cold patch. Services brakes (pads and rotors), checks components such as spark plugs, wires, rotors, fan belts, tail pipes, mufflers, hoses and similar items, adjusting or repairing when necessary. Uses hand tools as necessary, and uses a limited variety of test equipment. Maintains records and inventory. Must be able to read and understand manual specifications and possess the ability to verbally communicate with patrons. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
