Position Overview:
ECPI University is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented individual to operate and maintain our state-of-the-art Mobile Simulation Lab. This 38-foot Freightliner diesel coach functions as a fully equipped mobile learning environment for healthcare training. The role involves local and regional travel, setup and light technical support, and the safe operation and upkeep of the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and transport the Mobile Simulation Lab to scheduled campus, clinical, and partner sites. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks. Coordinate setup and teardown of simulation environments (e.g., slide-outs, power connections, interior prep). Ensure interior cleanliness, equipment functionality, and readiness for daily use. Support instructors with basic operation of installed AV and simulation equipment. Maintain travel logs, fuel usage, and mileage reports. Communicate with scheduling staff for upcoming events and logistical planning.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required. Experience operating large vehicles (e.g., RVs, buses, trucks) preferred. Strong attention to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Ability to perform light physical tasks and basic troubleshooting of equipment. Willingness to travel overnight as needed (approx. 25% of time). Interest in educational or healthcare environments a plus.
