Join us and build _your_ ambition. **ABOUT THE ROLE** Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Mechanic to support the operations in the Asphalt division. This position will be responsible for Diagnose and repair heavy equipment on-site, performing both emergency fixes and routine maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and safe operation. **WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH** + Inspect, diagnose, and repair mobile heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and service vehicles. + Perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks to ensure optimal equipment performance. + Respond to breakdowns in the field, traveling to job sites to conduct timely repairs and reduce equipment downtime. + Maintain accurate service records and logs of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities. + Operate and manage a fully equipped service truck, ensuring tools, parts, and fluids are stocked and organized. + Comply with all safety regulations and site protocols, using appropriate PPE and safety procedures during all tasks. **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** + **Education:** High School Diploma + **Field of Study Preferred:** Diesel Mechanics + **Required Work Experience:** 2 years miniumun experience + **Travel Requirements:** Daily travel required + Technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment. + Relevant certifications or training, such as in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, or ASE certifications. + Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery in field or shop settings. + Ability to work independently, often in remote locations with limited supervision. + Strong problem-solving skills to quickly assess and fix equipment issues under pressure. + Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) Preferably + Commitment to safety, including knowledge of site safety protocols and proper use of PPE. **Additional Requirements:** + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
