The Linear Mobile Experience (LMOE) team is responsible for bringing this compelling Live TV experience to life across iOS, tvOS and Android client platforms. We craft intuitive, performant, and engaging user interfaces that make it easy for customers to discover and enjoy their favorite live content. We collaborate with multiple engineering teams within Prime Video to build worry-free and best-in-class CX in service of our vision to be the world’s most-loved linear streaming platform.

We're seeking talented Mobile Software Development Engineers to join LMOE, building native experiences for iOS and Android that allow customers to watch Live TV anywhere. Our mobile apps need to handle complex scenarios like live playback on the landing page, auto play in carousels and seamless transitions between content exploration and playback. As part of LMOE, you will be delivering Linear specific features through integration with platform-specific features while maintaining high performance and reliability.


Key job responsibilities
* Design and implement native Linear TV experiences for iOS/Android platforms
* Build sophisticated UI components for program guides, channel browsing, and live playback
* Integrate with platform-specific features (notifications, widgets, picture-in-picture)
* Optimize app performance and memory usage for smooth Live TV playback
* Work with partner teams to integrate with backend services and APIs to enable personalized content recommendations
* Ensure consistent behavior across different devices and OS versions
