The Client Experience Technology team is dedicated to creating compelling experiences that deliver Reuters outstanding journalism to the world’s most informed professionals, with goals to increase discovery, optimize conversion, and drive engagement across Reuters products. The technology focuses on the presentation of content across the web and mobile consumer platforms, with backend service and monetization function integration.
We are looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to join our team working on the Reuters News app for the React Native platform. In this role, you will contribute to the technical design, implementation, testing, and optimization of our mobile applications.
As an experienced engineer, you will help shape the development of features and best practices while collaborating with peers to manage product implementation across iOS and Android.

As a Mobile Software Engineer at Reuters, you will:
Contribute to the technical design and development of our cross-platform mobile application.Implement new features by integrating with headless CMS and backend services.Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.Collaborate with internal teams on requirements analysis and product design.Follow established software development processes and best practices.Participate in Agile ceremonies, including code reviews and deployments.About You
To be our Mobile Software Engineer you will likely have:
Proficiency in common design patterns for React Native applications.A portfolio of released applications on the Apple or Google app stores.Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.Strong fundamentals in computer science, including data structures and algorithms.Experience with CI/CD workflows for mobile apps, including automated builds and testing.Knowledge of mobile development tools and technologies, including React Native CLI, VSCode, Xcode, Android Studio, and npm.Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
3+ years of experience in mobile application development.Familiarity with native mobile development languages like Kotlin and Swift.Understanding of software engineering best practices, including coding patterns and code reviews.Experience working with APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL integration.Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and their front-end integration.Understanding of UX/UI principles.Awareness of in-app advertising and digital subscriptions.Familiarity with application performance optimization and monitoring.#LI-CH1
