As a Mobile Technician II, you are responsible for performing intermediate service and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers or power equipment. Under routine supervision, this role works outside of the shop, servicing equipment at customer sites or rail yards using our mobile service truck.Job Description:
$5000 sign-on available for a limited time
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs, including tire replacements, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structural repairs on tractor or trailer equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair ABS system • Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
• Assist with the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician trainees
• Follow all safety requirements while onsite and at customer locations
• Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established procedures
• Properly document damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairs
• Demonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment to perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipment
• Patch holes in trailer or container side panels and roofs
• Perform annual AA trailer and FHWA brake in
inspections under direct supervision
Work Schedule:
Wednesday to Saturday, from 0600 to 1630

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years of age for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21 years of age for equipment over 10,000 lbs with 2 years of experience in semi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalentAND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiencesPossess a clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt guidelinesAble to supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchase programWillingness to work outdoors in the elementsAble to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, if needed

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
