EchoStar has an exciting opportunity in our Hughes Network Systems division for a Mobility Software Engineering Intern. This position will be located at our Germantown, MD office.

Responsibilities:

Engage in discussions with stakeholders to determine requirements for end-to-end testing of the Aero program's system/application.Plan, organize, and execute daily activities in collaboration with developers, architects, and technical release managers.Understand complex business and functional requirements to develop solutions using Google Cloud Platforms.Manage and track bug fixes in JIRA.Assist in creating, executing, and maintaining test scripts.Create and maintain written testing artifacts to support the team.Collaborate daily with team members, seek guidance, and provide status updates to team leads.Support various teams (System Integration, User Acceptance, and Production) at Hughes to facilitate feature/function support in the SDLC process.Gain a working knowledge of the Aero Program to enhance your effectiveness in this role.Contribute to improving automation across various tasks in end-to-end system/application testing to boost efficiency.

Basic Requirements:

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Must have 60 credit hours completed by June 20253.0 GPA or above

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and data models.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Working knowledge of cloud-based applications, particularly on the Google Cloud Platform.Experience with GO, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, and other scripting languages.Familiarity with C, Java, or other programming languages.Ability to work under general direction.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $49,000.00 - $70,000.00
