* GENERAL SUMMARY * At the direction of the Director, supervisor, and/or under the guidance of a Rehab therapist or registered nurse: assist in or provide mobilization of patients; assist with personal care of patients; prepares equipment used to mobilize or treat patients; answers call bells of patients; provides administrative assistance and duties specific to the clinical care department. * FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * 1.Prepare and position patients for treatment. Assists the Rehab therapists during and after treatment. 2.Answers patient call bells 3.Assists nursing staff with personal care of patients. 4.Assists with ambulation and exercise plan at the direction of the treating therapists or registered nurse. 5.Obtains supplies, sets-up and adjusts adaptive equipment, and prepares treatment modalities. 6.Assists with transfers and mechanical lifting of debilitated patients. 7.Assists in transporting patients to and from the gym or ancillary departments. 8.Maintains cleanliness of equipment and orderliness of department. 9.Performs daily equipment sweep on inpatient units. 10.Assists with scheduling patients for therapy. 11.Provides clerk duties including answering Rehab phones, triaging messages for the therapists, data collection and entry, assist therapists in gym, ensures needed supplies are ordered. 12.Performs other duties as required or assigned. * POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Knowledge / Skills / Abilities * •Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred. * Experience * Education * •High school graduate or equivalent required. * Required Licensure/Certification Skills * •BLS certification within 30 days of employment * Area of Interest:Allied Health/Clinical; * Work Status:per diem, as needed, Mon-Fri; * Employment Type:per-diem; * Job ID:5596 Dartmouth Health is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
