Citibank, N.A. seeks a Model/Analysis/Validation Officer for its Irving, Texas location. Duties: Develop, enhance and validate methods of economic forecasting models. Apply statistical methods, economic theories, and financial analysis to build and execute models and generate forecasts using Excel, SAS, Python and R. Document models and perform model maintenance to comply with the firm’s model risk management policy. Analyze economic, financial, and political developments in developed and emerging market economies, assessing vulnerabilities, and developing economic forecasts. Generate forecasts for macroeconomics and financial variables including for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL), and International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 9). Calibrate model parameters and organize components to generate input files. Evaluate and identify key drivers of economic factors. Conduct statistical and non-statistical data exploration, validate data, identify data quality issues, and extract, process, and store data from databases. Analyze and estimate impact of data issues on overall results. Conduct data analysis and data mining, review and prepare formal statistical documentation and reports. Develop model libraries using statistical, quantitative and econometric techniques. Implement automated computer programs for data extraction and processing. Implement assistive computer programs for data analysis. Collaborate with technology teams to address issues and automate data extraction and data preprocessing tasks. Perform ad hoc data analyses and design and maintain complex data manipulation processes. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Management or related field and 2 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, Economist, Senior Quantitative Analyst, or related position involving development, implementation and validation of quantitative models for the banking industry. Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive post-baccalaureate experience. 2 years of experience must include: Statistical modeling; Programming languages Excel, SAS, Python and R; Generating forecasts for CCAR, CECL, and IFRS 9; Developing model libraries using statistical, quantitative and econometric techniques; and Applying economic theories.
