We’re expanding our team located in Hyderabad, India, we’re looking for a talented, highly motivated, and results-driven engineer with expertise in refrigerant component/system model development and inter-disciplinary (thermal, mechanical, electrical, or control) and technical leadership. As a Lead engineer you will be responsibility the development, implementation, and testing of physics-based models of HVAC/R components and systems and providing technical leadership to the modeling group based at the Hyderabad R&D center.

**How You'll Create Possibilities**
**Responsibilities:**
As a MBD Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of refrigerant component/system models. Your key responsibilities will include:
+ Design, develop, and validate complex thermal models for refrigerant components, including heat exchangers, chillers, compressors, condensers, evaporators and others.
+ Application of Model Based Design methodologies for development, implementation, and verification of real-time controls systems in refrigeration systems and refrigerated display cabinets
+ Conduct comprehensive simulations using industry standard CFD tools like ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB, and Dymola to analyze model performance, identify optimization opportunities, and troubleshoot issues.
+ Interpret and analyze simulation results to extract meaningful insights and inform design decisions.
+ Participating in the full lifecycle of Refrigerant component calculation development in C# or Python, from specification and design to implementation, unit testing, accuracy assurance, integration with APIs/UIs, and code maintenance.
+ Collaborating with Product Owners and the technology team to troubleshoot and fix bugs.
+ Conducting model testing, calibration, and validation using experimental data.
+ Working with our global engineering design centers on challenging modeling problems and promoting the application of modeling and simulation techniques to support design decisions.
**Qualifications:**
+ **Education** : MS in Engineering, Data Analytics, Physics, or Ph.D. in Mechanical with a specialization in Thermal and Fluid Science.
+ **Experience** : 8+ years of relevant experience.
+ **Proficiency:**
+ Thermal Modeling
+ Major Refrigerant Components (Heat Exchangers, Chiller Models, Compressors, Condensers, Evaporators, Expansion Valves) is a plus.
+ Basic Refrigerant Cycles (single-stage compression cycle) is a plus.
**What You'll Bring to Our Team**
**Skills:**
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
+ Strong understanding of HVAC&R, thermal fluid systems, and thermodynamic cycles.
+ Experience in mechanical system modeling.
+ Experience in writing/solving equation-based models in one or more integrated solver toolchains, such as Dymola.
+ Proficiency in ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB/ Simulink, and Dymola
+ Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including .Net, Python, Fortran, SQL, C/C++, Java, and Modelica.
+ Knowledge of machine learning, linear algebra, statistics, signal processing, and optimization is a plus.
+ Hands-on experience with embedded systems and lab testing is a plus.
+ Strong technical writing abilities to provide high-quality documentation and standardized work.
+ Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies is a plus
