ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Model Based Engineering Technician** to join our team in **Lexington Park, MD** . This is an onsite position. This technician will develop, prepare, or recommend schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings and parts lists for a variety of non-routine assignments of varied complexity in support of Navy aircraft and weapons systems modernization projects. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Analyze engineering data to create and assess designs using design/schematic software + Construct experimental models and prototypes that align with engineering requirements + Conduct thorough testing to ensure adherence to these requirements, and undertake necessary redesigns based on test results + Meticulously record and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reports on findings + Develop, prepare, or recommend schematics, designs, specifications, electrical drawings and parts lists for a variety of non-routine assignments of varied complexity + Receives technical advice from a supervisor or professional engineer and executes non-routine, complex assignments + May be responsible for guiding lower level technicians through tasking + Will have regular interaction with senior level personnel + Domestic Travel up to 10% **Minimum Qualifications:** + Associate’s Degree in Technical or Scientific area and 6+ years of relevant engineering technician experience + 4+ years of experience in installation of hardware and/or equipment + 1+ year of experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents and drawings + Experience using design/schematic software such as AutoCAD, SOLIDWOKS, MicroStation, or Altium Designer + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word + A High School diploma or GED credential and 3 additional years of relevant experience, for a total of 9 years, may be substituted for the Associate’s degree **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with Navy aviation systems **Clearance Requirements:** + A current and Active Secret clearance is required to perform work on this contract **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations + Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations ManTech International Corporation, as well as its subsidiaries proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.
