USSTRATCOM and NC3 (Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications) Operations Department (N257) provides a whole range of systems engineering, data analytics, architecture design expertise in supporting development of our nation’s nuclear and electromagnetic spectrum capabilities. We provide a host of enterprise systems engineering and integration activity to tackle U.S. Strategic Command’s top priorities and toughest challenges. Based out of Omaha, NE, we are co-located with the Nation’s senior military advisor and their staff, who is responsible for our nation’s strategic deterrence missions to include nuclear operations, nuclear command, control, and communications, joint electromagnetic spectrum operations. Roles & Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a candidate experienced in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and the application of them. The job will necessitate learning the combatant command mission, the ability to work with senior CCMD sponsors, and discuss operational missions, processes and capabilities in order to represent the holistic view in a digitally model-based representation to inform analysis and recommendations to the sponsor. The role is expected to support an exciting variety of challenges across our sponsor base such as: electromagnetic spectrum operations, cybersecurity analytics, network resiliency analysis, and operational and military utility analysis. We look to apply digital engineering and model-based engineering techniques to solve the nation’s toughest problems. As a key member of MITRE's Systems Engineering team, you will collaborate closely with mission specialists, engineers, and government stakeholders to tackle the intricate challenges of systems engineering critical to national security. You will gain deep insights into sponsor missions and leverage your technical expertise to drive innovation and problem-solving. Your expertise in model-based systems engineering will be leveraged to be applied to operational missions such as nuclear planning, nuclear communications resiliency, electromagnetic spectrum operational and global operations center processes.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar technical degree with 2 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree; with the experience and ability to immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Must be a US citizen with the ability of obtaining & maintaining U.S. security clearance TS/SCIEvidence of knowledge of principles, concepts, methods and tools for conducting model-based systems engineeringDemonstrated proficiency in technical areas relevant to the specific role, such as model-based systems engineering (MBSE), digital engineering, and system-of-systems architecture.Knowledge of tools and methodologies commonly used in systems engineering, including SysML/UML, Cameo, MagicDraw, Magic Systems of Systems Architect, Tableau, Neo4J, and Rhapsody.This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.Preferred Qualifications:
