Position: Modelling and Optimization Intern

The team you'll be part of

The AI Research Lab at Bell Labs Solutions Research invites applications for intern positions in machine learning, mathematics, networking, modeling, and optimization. The Lab has a long tradition of excellence in research and currently consists of 80 staff members with expertise in algorithmic and computing sciences, network measurement and optimization, information theory, and machine learning. This internship is in the Modeling and Optimization Group in the AI Research Lab. https://www.bell-labs.com/research-innovation/projects-and-initiatives/air-lab/modelling-optimization/

 

Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for a Ph.D. or Master's Degree in machine learning, mathematics, data or computer science, computational methods, or a related field.

You have:

Strong and proven background in mathematical or computing sciences A natural interest in innovatively applying fundamental tools and methods to focused problem areas such as network optimization, robotics, and 3D modeling.

It would be nice if you also had:

Experience writing code for large-scale systems.
