Raytheon’s Apertures and RF Department is seeking a Section Leader to support the Sustainment team in McKinney, Texas.  The department is responsible for full-scope antenna product solutions, spanning architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions.

This position will manage engineers and technicians in the area of RF test set sustainment, equipment calibrations, and module troubleshooting. This leader will be responsible to ensuring test sets remain operational, test equipment is functional and calibrated, and hardware that fails test is troubleshot and corrected. This individual will be responsible for section members that work all three shifts performing these responsibilities. This leader will also contribute directly to efforts as a task lead or individual contributor.

What You Will Do

Performance management and career development activitiesSupport hiring efforts (resume reviews, interviews, etc.)Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisitionCollaborate and communicate with other sections and teamsSupport department and directorate level initiativesEnsure employee compliance with company policies and proceduresOversight of personnel issue resolutionManage employee timecardsManage team staffing assignmentsAdhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and BehaviorsWork as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 15-20% of the employee’s time.Participate in and guide the testing of RF hardware for required performance metrics: VSWR, insertion loss, gain, polarization, radar cross section (RCS), etc.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior Engineering experience OR an Advanced degree and 8 years of relevant experienceRequired relevant experience to include any combination of the following:Experience working in a manufacturing test environmentExperience with RF troubleshooting across multiple programsExperience performing root cause analysis and correcting defectsExperience with RF/MW test equipment such as signal sources, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, noise figure meters and other general use test equipmentActive and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizen are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
