The Mold Care Repair Finisher will be responsible for repairing molds. Duties and Responsibilities: + Follow work instructions/drawings for assigned tasks + Learn to use proper tools for the job including DA sander and buffer. + Efficient sanding and buffing (no burn through). + Learn how to identify mold defects. + Learn to mix gel coat and resins needed for repairs + Learn how to spot spray gel coat with spray gun + Learn how to fair in parts + Repair surface defects in molds using proper tools + Operate Zund machine and understand the functionality of the machine + Cross-train and learn new areas + Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor Minimum Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical certification in relevant area helpful. + Experience working with fiberglass or in auto body repair helpful + Familiarity with mixing gel coats or paint with activators + Good working knowledge of repair tools (sanders, buffers, spray equipment) + Deadline and detail-oriented, ability to stay on task + Good attention to detail required + Able to work with a team and independently + Good attendance required + Excellent vision required Physical Requirements: Including, but not limited to: + climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs, stretching, squatting and bending. + May work on knees, seated, laying down, standing up. + May require individual to be in awkward positions. Environmental Conditions: + Exposed to heat, cold, dust, fumes, and some outside weather conditions. + May be exposed to acetone, resin, fiberglass, putties, glues, cleaners.
