**JOB DESCRIPTION:**
The Machine Operator sets up, operates, and is responsible for ensuring the machines produce high-quality products for our medical devices.
**KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Read and follow operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedures
+ Load component materials into product-specific tools
+ Performs in-process inspection of all parts and/or assemblies
+ Performs various dimensional inspections using specific dies or gauges, or dimensional inspection systems and micrometers
+ Ability to perform basic manufacturing setup tasks
+ Works within standards and operating procedures to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the setup and operations of a variety of production equipment, including automated machine processes and controls to perform routine assembly-line production functions of filling, packing, assembling, labeling, and inspecting
+ May perform clean-up functions in sterilized areas
+ Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs
+ May analyze and evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, test, and inspect procedures
+ Assists with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions
+ May monitor quality by statistical process or other control procedures
+ Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents
+ Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality
+ Perform other duties as required
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ High School diploma
+ Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department
+ Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Ability to be punctual to ensure production
+ Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine with the skill to recognize any deviations from the specification
+ Ability to operate independently within the constraints of approved process-related
+ Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
+ Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of a Windows environment is required
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
+ The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment and is expected to follow the guidelines and rules for working in the cleanroom. This includes following the gowning procedure, covering hair in a hairnet, and wearing personal protective equipment as appropriate.
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
+ The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
+ The employee is frequently required to sit for extensive periods.
+ The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
+ The employee is frequently required to use wrists, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive motion.
+ The employee is frequently required to see clearly when viewing objects at a close distance to discern visual defects in the part.
