Job Overview:The Mold Process Technician is responsible for supporting the initial production startup per applicable shift, preventative maintenance tasks, equipment repairs and process troubleshooting Responsibilities:Perform and direct the mold and material changing processesAssure that mold set up, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are metEnsure new job start-ups run correctly, making any necessary adjustmentsWork with production personnel to ensure molded parts meet requirements, and make adjustments as necessaryTroubleshoot and correct processing issues including normal adjustments and checksEnsure molding machines and supporting systems are set to correct parameters to meet the mold requirements ensuring production goals are met.Verify process parameters and implement changes as appropriate, to improve cycle times. Have a continuous improvement mindset by identifying and making process improvements to drive cost reductions such as scrap reduction, decreased change-over time, cycle time improvement opportunities, etc.Inspect parts to ensure they meet the customer specifications’Repair, maintain and keep spare components inventory to keep molds functioning correctly.Recognize and stop production to correct any quality or safety issuesReview and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues and report discrepancies to the maintenance department.Define and document corrections made to equipment using the maintenance CMMS software. Monitor, train, and coach the machine operators to ensure they are following proper manufacturing proceduresWork with Engineering to assist with installation and startup of new equipment.Comply with all safety, quality, company policy and regulationsOther duties as assigned which may include support for the broader maintenance team in all areas such as facility related repairs.Requirements:High School Diploma/GED3 years minimum related experience in a high precision plastics injection molding operationMust be able to operate forklift equipment and heavy lifting equipment.Must be able to read and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools.Strong troubleshoot and general mechanical skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient computer, documentation, and detail-oriented skillsMust have effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with various levels of the organizationPreferences:
