Summary

Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of tasks associated with mold repair and maintenance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work in a neat and orderly mannerRepair molds in accordance with Tool Shop proceduresWork with more advanced associates to accomplish repairsWork with a variety of associates to accomplish organized objectivesTear down and assemble moldsChange core inserts & orifice sizesTroubleshoot mold problemsUse precision tools and perform bench workUnderstanding workings of moldsClean Shop as neededBe able to lead a repair operation and keep it moving toward completionAnalyze parts and plan repair proceduresDetect possible future problems or existing problems during the course of preventive maintenanceFollow applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Good interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal and oral) needed.Must be able to perform machine shop mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry) required.The ability to safely and proficiently operate conventional machine shop machines (including CNC equipment) is required.

 

Education and Experience

Two-year degree in Machine Trades Technology or a similar field required. Comparable experience may be considered.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to walk, lift and carry materials in order to function in their job.  Must be able to comfortably lift 35 pounds without assistance on a routine basis.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties for this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to various types of equipment that have vibration.  The noise level in the environment occasionally requires hearing protection.
