Job purpose

 

The Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

 

Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures. Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.Performs change overs to the molding equipment as scheduled.Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling. Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand.Completes documentation related to the task at hand.Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.Maintains excellent safety record.Maintains excellent attendance record.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Experience

 

Experience required:

Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures. Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

 

Skills

 

An individual must have the following skills in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

Interpersonal skills.Basic computer knowledge.Effective communication skills.Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 

Physical requirements

 

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

 

Working conditions

 

An individual that works in the Level#2- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.Must have mechanical aptitude.Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.Must be available on an on-call basis.

 

Education

 

High School Diploma or GED

Technical certification in a related field preferred
