MAU is hiring a Molding Engineer for Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. As a Molding Engineer, you will oversee production molding processes and equipment, ensure compliance with industry standards, develop lean manufacturing practices, maintain quality documentation, and lead initiatives to improve safety, cost, quality, and efficiency across the value stream. This is a direct-hire opportunity.
Benefits Package 401k matching Extended leave Sick leave Paid holidays Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Short term disability Long term disability Paid time off Shift Information Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in molding Preferred experience in high-volume, high-technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry General Requirements Project leadership skills and the ability to prioritize workload to meet established targets Essential Functions Oversee production molding and handling equipment to ensure robust manufacturing performance Maintain operator molding standard work instructions, PFMEA matrices, document change checklists, and related documentation Manage setup and maintenance of interfaces such as mold presses and auxiliary handling equipment Oversee mold releases for new customers and projects Support manufacturing operations in compliance with IATF16949 standards and Bosch requirements Develop, implement, and sustain lean manufacturing principles (BPS) across the value stream, focusing on equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation and quality plans by company standards, including process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEAs, PQIs, process control documentation, and standard work instructions Identify and lead initiatives to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and process utilization to achieve Policy Deployment objectives Travel Willingness to travel internationally for equipment acceptance, buyoff processes, and IPN activities. #PS
