The purpose of the Molding and packing Operator position is to  Complete all required quality and food safety checks and documents utilizing the required documents or electronic systems. Maintain a food-safe work environment by cleaning up spills, and maintaining hygienic work conditions. Comply with all GMP, safety, sanitation, and any other plant rules as established by the company. Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), & GMPs policies

Compensation: $21.93/hr plus $0.55/hr for shift differential

Principal Accountabilites:

Operate MIK1 & MIK2 Automated Packaging Equipment and Bindler automated Packaging EquipmentRead schedule for production lines and communicate with the operator from the previous shift to determine the status of the lines. (Machinery problems change over status, availability of paste, special operating instructions, quality control issues, etc.)Communicate with the lead person and department personnel to determine if there are any problems on your assigned lineCheck schedule, product specs., and special instructionsUse ladder to check and maintain use tank level from bulk storage (panel view)Set up and monitor running of depositorsSet and monitor tempering unitsUse and evaluate temper meter; understand the theory of temperingCheck of proper valves are setMonitor depositor hoppersSet and monitor cooling tunnelsMaintain proper return of product to use tankMonitor line temperatures of product from use tank to tempering unit and from tempering unit to depositorCommunicate with packersHandle reworkMaintain a clear work areaCheck and maintain proper count/lb. and appearanceChange and maintain plates (2-person job)Change knives; set knivesMaintain necessary records & SPC chartsDo routine trouble shooting and maintenance

Required Qualifications:

Cargill requires employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facilityEligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorshipAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal / written)Basic computer skillsBasic math skillsAble to work with different temperature and humidity conditions in the work area that can vary from temperatures ranging from 65 degrees F up to or exceeding 100 degrees, and very humid (near or over 80%) to ultra-low humidity (less than 40%)Must be able to work with noise levels up to 115 decibels requiring the use of hearing protection for most of the dayMust be required to wear plastic gloves while performing duties involving potential direct contact with the productAbility to regularly walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs and lift a minimum of 50 poundsAbility to work overtime and work holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts in a Union environment


Preferred Qualifications:

Previous food production experiencePrevious experience with ForkliftHigh School diploma or equivalent
