While reporting to the maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for setting aluminum molds into production presses in a safe manner.  Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment.  You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot concerns related to production.  You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

What You'll Be Doing:

Collaborating closely with other departments and teamsHaving a high regard to 5SObtains correct mold, preps mold, installs mold and completes mold changesPrepares lines, fill guns and hoses, runs samples in mold preparationRemoves molds, inspects molds for quality, reports repair needs, prepares molds for shipmentOperates press through normal cycle, performs routine maintenance on press when installing moldsOperate lift trucksConducts minor mold repairsMaintains a safe, clean and organized work areaPerforms all duties as designated by supervisor/managerPerforms all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policiesHelping out other departments as neededOvertime required at times
