Position Summary
The Molecular Technical Assistant works as part of the Precision Medicine Program to send out and track molecular testing. Assist with consult and clinical trial send outs as well as prepping for multidisciplinary planning conferences. While these standards are intended to be an accurate reflection of the job requirements, management reserves the right to modify add/or remove duties and to assign other duties as necessary.

Associate of Science DegreePreferred Experience
At least 2 years post-degree experience of working with molecular testing and oncology including demonstrated knowledge of emerging molecular technologies, hematology, and histology. Capable of highly-independent work as well as being a team player. Ability to work closely with a diverse group of individuals, from patients to physicians, and including industry and academics. Excellent oral, written and customer service skills. Anatomic Pathology Experience Previous work in a clinical laboratory settingPreferred License/Registration/Certifications

The Molecular Testing Technical Assistant will be responsible for working in collaboration with the precision medicine program leaders and staff daily to assist with coordinating operations. Such operations include but, are not limited to, sending specimens to the appropriate reference lab for molecular testing, tracking of results, reporting results to the ordering providers. Also, manage processes to allow for appropriate billing practices. Must be able to communicate clearly with the clinical laboratory, physicians, navigators, molecular testing vendors, to ensure appropriate test ordering and accurate resulting to deliver timely patient care. Prepares patient slides and reports for Multidisciplinary Conferences, loads patient slides on the digitizer. Receives and reviews specific pathology to assist clinical staff with MPC preparation. Ability to maintain positive working relationships with program management, team leaders, physicians and clients.
