Overview:

Position Title: Analyst I

Reports to (N+1): Manager

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Compensation Range: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

 

 

Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

 

Position Summary:

 

The Molecular Biologist is responsible for helping develop innovative, game changing therapies for the treatment of neuro-degenerative diseases and their associated complications using molecular, protein, and cell-based biochemical assays.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Perform and develop protocols laboratory assays and techniques including but not limited to: PCR, ELISAs, Western blotting, MSDs, and in-vivo techniques Growing, maintaining, and harvesting various cell cultures for use in high-content imaging and biochemical assays. Process and analyze and organize data for presentation to responsible scientist(s) Perform in-vivo work including mouse and rat handling, dosing, and blood and tissue collection Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and maintain clean, well-functioning laboratory environment. Perform eLN (electronic lab notebook) entries and corrections in a timely manner while complying with guidelines Prepare a variety of equipment for testing using prescribed standards / specifications Maintain supplies, lab cleanliness and analytical instrumentation, as required. Prepare stock solutions, and keeping shelves and reagent stocked. Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies. Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan. Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System. Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

Education and Experience:

 

Degree requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Biology or closely related field Minimum of one (1) year of experience with molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, qPCR, or cell culture

 

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
