Eurofins Genomics Blue Heron is searching for molecular biology scientist to join our R&D and IVTmRNA team.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the R&D and IVTmRNA team, the Scientist will lead the production of IVTmRNA and development of DNA-based applications and assays for synthetic biology, including high-throughput gene synthesis and cloning, NGS-based QC, etc. The Scientist will work closely with production team for implementation of processes developed by the R&D team and to improve the efficiency and robustness of existing processes.
The ideal candidate must be equally comfortable with wet lab experimentation and computation, and experience with laboratory automation and LIMS interfaces is preferred.
QualificationsPh.D. in molecular biology or related fieldMust have strong background in molecular biology techniques including PCR/qPCR, enzymatic assays, and molecular cloningSynthetic biology technology and method development experienceKnowledgeable and experienced in the IVTmRNA process.Experience manipulating large data setsStrong data analysis skillsExcellent grasp of experimental design and data interpretationExcellent communication skills. Proficient in writing and communicating in English.
