The Department of Radiation Oncology in Duarte at City of Hope brings an array of innovative technologies, protocols, and research procedures. Our Teams are exposed to challenging, interesting, and exciting new treatment technologies. Our team members work on state-of-the-art machines and procedures that save lives, specifically within Radiation Oncology: Tomotherapy, RefleXion, Truebeam, Identity, and Vision RT surface guidance technology as well as HDR, brachytherapy, clinical trial patients, disease-focused specialty practice, to name a few. The RefleXion unit uses advanced technology with a radiopharmaceutical agent that cancer cells absorb creating a biological beacon for targeted radiation treatments. These innovations in technology help cultivate professional growth and learning for one's career!
As a successful candidate, you will:
Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages. Operate MRI control console for each patient’s scan, including selection of proper imaging techniques and operates various peripheral hardwareReinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effectsPerform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry proceduresPerform diagnostic testing on equipment, general maintenance, and quality assurance as is appropriateQualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine ProgramNew Graduates acceptedCalifornia State Certification in Nuclear Medicine ANDCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CNMT) or R.T.
