Momentum Functional SME
Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to join our team supporting a federal client in utilizing and maximizing their implementation of the Momentum Financials solution. The candidate will draw on prior experience and Momentum knowledge to support functional questions and issues, as well as lead implementations of new functionality. The candidate will mentor and support junior members of the team, ensuring their work is accurate and delivered on time. The candidate will stay on top of changes in the federal landscape and make recommendations to ensure client success.

This position is located in Herndon, VA.
You will be required to work on client site in Herndon, VA 5 days/week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provide technical, managerial, or administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development and implementation for complex to extremely complex systems in the subject matter area.
• Make recommendations and advises on system improvements in the following specialties: information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; software development methodologies; and modeling and simulation.
• Provide technical, managerial, or administrative direction for functional domains, related to IT systems and projects. These domains may include but, are not limited to, security, financial, or organizational aspects of a project needed to ensure client success.
• Act as the trusted advisor to the customer, providing information about CGI offerings, and guidance related to Momentum functionality.
• Notify the customer about upcoming mandates and other changes in the federal landscape that may impact them
• Lead efforts for complex implementations of new functionality
• Encourage client participation in customer engagement activities such as Momentum Day and Ideas Day
• Mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on their tasks
• Participate in staffing efforts by reviewing resumes and conducting interviews
• Raise project risks to management
• Analyze changes between the existing and target Momentum release to determine required configuration, documentation, and development changes
• Provide training to the end users for new and updated functionality
• Perform analysis, gather requirements, document and execute test cases, create and update functional documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 7+ years experience supporting Momentum Financial Management software
• Current U.S. Secret clearance and a Special Background Investigation no more than 5 years old. Clearances must be transferable, and applicants must pass government approval to work on the project
• Experience analyzing and documenting system requirements, conducting functional analysis, writing and executing tests
• Ability to own and prioritize your tasks, mentor other team members, perform peer reviews and help to keep the team’s assignments on track
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Experience leading meetings and owning long term tasks
• Experience writing and updating functional documentation
• Takes initiative to learn new tools, subjects and technologies in order to maximize value to the team and customer
• Understands of the impact of Momentum system settings and knows how to configure a system to mimic the operational environment
• Functions as a self-starter; completes assignments with minimal oversight, seeks help when needed, and does their part to complete the project as efficiently as possible

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries
• Experience delivering training to end users
• Knowledge of the SAP Business Objects tool suite

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
