Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is recruiting for a per diem, non-exempt, day shift Monitor Tech position for our Telemetry Department. Monterey Park Hospital is a 101 bed acute care community hospital providing our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years. This position reports to the Director of Telemetry.

Responsibilities

The Monitor Tech continuously monitors patient’s cardiac rhythms, properly reports and documents patient’s rhythms, maintains and monitors proper functioning of Telemetry equipment, checks and documents all Telemetry alarms and has the ability to perform additional duties as determined by management.

Qualifications

A. Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

B. Minimum Experience: Preferably one year working experience as a Monitor Tech at an acute care hospital.

C. Required Certification/Registration: Current BLS required. Completion of Basic EKG Class; Passes Annual Competency on Arrhythmias.
