Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Monitor Tech for our Telemetry Department. This job is permanent, full-time. *Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * * Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. * Reads telemetry test strips and places them in the patient charts at required intervals. * Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. * Identifies and corrects for artifacts. * Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. * Tests equipment for proper working order.
