About the role
We're looking for a seasoned Monitoring Engineer to play a pivotal part in designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring configurations for both new and existing customers, ensuring optimal performance and proactive service.

You will manage the day to day administration of our monitoring tools. Monitor the configuration for a wide range of customer devices and technologies, provide continuous improvements of Comms-Care monitoring service to ensure the best possible proactive service while minimising the number of unnecessary alerts

As a Monitoring Engineer you will…

Manage the day-to-day administration of our monitoring tool, LogicMonitor. Ensure the tools are configured and optimized for the best performance and reliability.

Configure and monitor a diverse range of customer devices and technologies, applying best practices to minimize unnecessary alerts.

Identify and troubleshoot monitoring issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.

Continuously enhance our monitoring services, developing strategies to reduce downtime and improve service quality.

Utilise skills in API calls, PowerShell, and SQL to create custom monitoring solutions tailored to specific customer needs.

Ensure all monitoring configurations comply with industry standards and best practices, delivering secure and reliable solutions.

Serve as a subject matter expert on monitoring tools and configurations. Provide guidance and support to both internal teams and customers, ensuring they understand and can effectively utilise the monitoring tools.

Stay updated on the latest monitoring technologies and practices, applying new insights to enhance our processes and solutions.

Maintain up-to-date documentation of monitoring configurations and procedures, ensuring accessibility for relevant stakeholders.

In order to set you up for success we are looking for the following skills;

Experience with LogicMonitor configuration and administration

Extensive experience with monitoring configuration of network devices

Previous experience of other monitoring tools

Experience with custom monitoring solution development (API calls, PowerShell, SQL) 

Experience with Windows, Linux and Cloud (Azure, AWS) system monitoring and administration

Experience working in managed services environments

LogicMonitor LMCA, LMCP or LMCD certification

Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA)
